Remembering warmer days...

It is SOOOOO COLDDDD!!!  I have a lot of catchup to do...  Looking at these pictures of playing in the leaves makes me remember the warmer, beautiful November we got this year!! I was pleasantly outside hanging Christmas lights on the house the weekend of Thanksgiving, and now the high lately is hovering around 10 F.

Enough weather.  This was Hazel's first leaf-playing experience.

And this was her second.  Isn't she muy adorable?
I couldn't pick just one!
She kept finding apples on the ground from the tree... meanwhile I had to surreptitiously remove the wormier ones with ones of a pleasanter variety :)

Fall Fun

We had some beautiful weather last week and The Frog suggested some leaf jumping.  I could tell it was much more fun for him this year because Peach was in on the action as well.

I love how far back they go to get a running start.

Leaf Raking

Iris's coach emailed me to tell me that the night before the state tournament, all the girls were getting together for dinner and they were all going to bring some kind of treat with an inspirational message.  When Iris came home that night, I poked through her bag to see what kind of sayings people came up with.  Most people had attached insightful quotes about courage or doing your best, or how to be successful in life etc., etc.

'Spose my idea of inspiration is a bit different. **blush**  Here's what I sent her with:

Now for the cuteness:
she may be nearly bald, but still not immune to the forces of static electricity
don't you just want to squish her?!

of course.  his first impulse is always to crash, bang, or throw things.

what a great helper :)

he quickly realized it was much funnier to throw leaves...

at me!

This one might make the Christmas card, folks!

Pumpkinland

Yesterday, my group of moms & kids I hang out with went to Pumpkinland at Vineyard Garden Center.  I had never heard of it before, but it was actually really cool!  They had a mini corn maze (that is geared for little kids so you're not smacking your head, desperately lost with two wailing kids...) and lots of farm animals, a playground, and an awesome slide.  We will definitely be going back :)
This kid moves so fast lately, it's hard to get a still shot

you can go in or around the maze.  we opted for around.

They had lots of different ones of these

The "Park"

We're trying to make use of warm weather days while they still exist. It's so fun (and at times terrifying) to be able to go to the park (or in this case, the elementary school playground) now that The Frog is brave enough to go down the slides alone.

I think Jay has fun too :)
