Cell Battery Life Query

I feel the need for a survey. My old phone battery was AWESOME. I would charge it a couple of times a week and it would only take 10 or 15 minutes to become full again. My NEW battery needs charging every 24 hours (or more frequently if I talk on it long) and it takes 2 or 3 hours to become full. Is this normal?

That certainly doesn't sound normal: unless you're talking an awful lot, you should expect charge to last more than a day.

Then again, I have a hard time believing your old battery actually charged all the way in 10-15 minutes. Many batteries get "mostly full" (about 85%) quite soon, then tail off. Maybe this was showing on your display as full. And maybe the new battery has a more subtle gradation of power. So that could account for the difference there.

It is not normal to have to charge every 24 hrs. It is lame. Another reason to flee your parents' plan as soon as possible.

Libby! My phone is being lame too! (hence we have the same phone) Adam and I will be on the same phone plan here, so thankfully, i'll be able to abandon this lame phone.
